Abstract
The sex cord-stromal cell tumors can be subclassified into granulosa-stromal cell or Sertoli-Leydig cell tumors according to the patterns of growth and the appearance of the neoplastic cells. However there has been difficulties in the interpretation of minority of these neoplasms due to their intermediate patterns and cell types. The sex cord tumor with annular tubules (SCTAT) has morphologic features intermediate between those of the granulosa cell tumor and those of the Sertoli cell tumor, and characterized by the presence of structures of ring-shaped tubules. Peutz-Jeghers syndrome and adenoma malignum of the cervix have been sometimes accompanied in patients with SCTAT. The symptoms are frequently correlated with kinds of hormone secreted by the tumors. We experienced a case of SCTAT without Peutz-Jeghers syndrome in a 8-year old girl with breast enlargement as a presenting manifestation and the laparoscopic unilateral oophorectomy was performed with no obvious complications. We report this case with brief review of literatures.
