Dear Editor, with a great deal of interest, we read the article titled “significance of sentinel lymph node biopsy in low- and intermediate-risk endometrial cancer: a study at tertiary care centre, India” by Modi et al. [1].

The authors presented the incidence, detection rates, and complication rates of their cohort of patients of interest. These data could have been utilized for a sub-analysis of patients with unilateral detection of sentinel lymph nodes (SLN) or those in whom SLN detection has failed. Some of the possible interesting parameters would have been the correction of such failure or unilateral detection in those with an increased body mass index, history of previous surgeries, or adhesions, and based on the learning curve of the surgeon and team [2]. Another question is whether there was any correction of the detection rates with the possible finding of an enlarged lymph node.
