Abstract |
Transitional cell carcinoma is an uncommon, aggressive group of cervical tumors which is considered to have a similarity to papillary transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary tract. The histologic appearance is characterized by cells that are mostly oval to elongated in shape with their long axes oriented perpendicular to the surface and flattening of only the most superficial layers. We present a case of transitional cell carcinoma of uterine cervix with a brief review of the literature. |
